Laundry, Groceries, and Motorcycle Tires...

Got a lot done yesterday, including the most important! I found a rear skin for that big bad Raider of mine. :)
It can be an effort on occasion to find a tire for a less then mainstream sort of Motorcycle.

So... When we leave here this weekend or Monday... we'll be aiming for the Valley that holds Hamilton, Montana...

Passed through there last summer, on my way home from the Alaska ride... I know a nice camp right near there...

Last evening, I played with some video clips I took on our lil' walk up past Elk Meadow, day before yesterday... got a "thing" put together... Nothing I can brag on... but it's Kind of fun I think... Was going to post that RV Video to you tube, so I could link it in here... and get some feedback to let me know what folks thought was the area Most needful of the greatest effort at improvement! :)

Wouldn't you know it... after trying for a few minutes I glanced at the screen and decided... waiting another 420 minutes to finish loading, juuuuust wasn't in my future! :) ... so... doing that website video stuff is gonna have to wait for camps where I've got a lil' better signal. :)

I do think spring has finally got it's act together. Third day in a row of sunrise in an almost cloudless sky...

But, no rest for the wicked huh? Now, the threat is all that snow piled up above us. It's got to go somewhere when it converts back to water of the creek filling kind... and with these warm and breezy days, that could happen a lil' faster than the drainages can handle it...

Like a pig through a python... there's likely to be another big Surge coming... flowing down all these creeks and rivers round about... heading east for the Big Muddy...

The Missouri, the Yellowstone, The Musselshell, The Green, the Salmon, The Arkansas, a couple of Plattes... There's a whole bunch of 'em with Snow packs up in their headwaters, the highest in years... Keep your bugout rucks handy!

Don't guess it's any surprise to those folks who have been enduring so much already... but... I think it may be a ways from over for 'em.

Before we were looking mostly to stay south and lower... now I guess... we head for High ground?

The other evening... we had a guest in the Meadow... or... is it the Resident, walked past the Guest? The "Guest" being us?

*Turkey in the Uintahs*
There are all sorts of Wildlife in this area. If you're quiet enough, they come around. This gal walked across the top of the Meadow just before sunset. She's, at least it looks a gal to me, is 'bout the lightest colored wild turkey I've ever seen...

We've seen Bighorns over closer to the Canyon at Flaming Gorge, Deer, and Elk. Seen nothing but the tracks of Moose and what I took to be fox of some variety... Birds of every sort... though... that Turkey is 'bout the only one I can hang a name on! :)

This Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area is sure a country a less restless yonderer could spend considerable time in... and if I had any sense at all... I'd likely resist my urge to move a lil' longer and stay around a bit longer... but then... I'd not be me... so roll on I will.

At Home, for a while... In the Uintahs of Utah

Nice of the residents not to kick you out. Watch out for flooding and have a great time wherever you are lead.

I give the residents all the room they ask for :) ... I don't know of any flooding around here... but... all the creeks here are running bank full... figuring they run down stream... Smart fella Huh? :) ... and that all the creeks from here to Canada are doin' the same... things are likely to get pretty dicey down stream... so... I'll stay, Up... stream! :)
