Want to Get Yourself In Trouble? ... Make a Plan!

Sheesh! I think that Ol' Murphy's hacked my computer! ... or at least he reads the blog... 'cause ever' dang time I've got things figured out... or think I do... Yep... Things change and leave me high centered...

With Alaska off the map for this year we thought we'd make a return to the Northwest this summer, and run back up farther north this time... all the way to Victoria... We could still be back to Western Montana to allow a bob-tail run to the Front Range for a Wedding at the end of July...

Got it all penciled out... it'll all work without having to hurry... OK... Good... the Olympic Peninsula is awesome country... and we've not been there in 8 or 10 years I think...

Uh... Not so Fast Cowboy...

A Friend from British Columbia had told me a few weeks ago that he and a crew of Canadian Bikers were gonna make a run to the Black Hills. Now... I would have sworn he'd said toward the end of July... Well, last night I had a conversation with him... and found out they're leaving Prince George, around the fourth of July...

Their ride sounded like too good a time to miss... sooooooo....

At the risk of informing that dang Murph one more time... guess we'll turn the map around and instead of running to Puget Sound early... and hooking back to Montana... we'll work our way up to Montana early... and then the NW August and September...

Doing it turned around that-a-way takes away the pressure to make miles and meet a schedule... which all things considered is sort of a smart thing to do... geeze! How am I gonna maintain a reputation for being a footloose and fancy free, wild eyed cowboy biker... if I'm runnin' around makin' sense?!!

Come Monday morning we'll start a reeeeaaaallly slow roll North... ending up in Idaho and Montana for the early/mid summer... Yeah it's a tough life... but somebody has to do it :)

Not much for a fella to see along that route... Dinosaur NP, Flaming Gorge... Yellowstone NP, Glacier NP, Bob Marshall Wilderness, River of No Return, Virginia City... Lake Pendoreille, Lolo pass... yeah I know... it's a pretty bleak area, but I'll tough it out! :)

Now... do me a favor... if you see my lil' buddy Murphy... tell him I'm... uh... somewhere west! following along on the Oregon Trail! :)

But today... we're finally getting to that danged ol' storage shed... to see if we can cull out and lose some more precious Junk!

Readying for one more Leaving

You may not need to drag your heels so hard to stay in warmish weather. Here in the land of Ahs it will be 101 today. I ask for it to warm up a little bit so my bean seed wouldn't rot in the ground. I think He got carried away!

Late summer in the NW is better, anyway. And, I gave up on the contacts. But at least I gave it a good attempt and I can pack them away without more thought.

A better plan to go to the northwest later in summer. we learned that the hard way. I'll distract Murph for ya... he's here in Ouray right now, snowing on us. 4 inches and coming down hard. sheesh

Jorge and Evielynne; uh... likely Blazing Trails!

Judy; are you teaming up with Murphy now? You say that and WHAM! a last winter gasp! :)

Shadow; I'm still moving along with 'em... main trouble I'm having at this point is trying to figure out if they're inside out or not! :)

Debbie; Jello or Blowin' in the Wind... my "plans" don't seem to hold their shape for long :)

Mark; I think we need to double up on that sucker... Nail guns at the ready! You get his left foot... I'll nail the right! :)
