First It Was... and Then It Wasn't... and Me Too...

There's a whole lot of flip floppin confusion goin' on 'round here... which don't help my serenity any...

First... the Fiver...

So... the roof blistered as a consequence of me goin' on a wasp killin' rampage. I mean big blisters too. 3/4 to 1" tall blisters over nigh on to a 60 square foot patch.

Now... I just set about collecting the materials and parts to do a "cut in" patch... figuring that would be the best I could hope to afford. While I was doin' that herself called the insurance company. I didn't... cuz I was certain sure they'd only get a good laugh at my stupidity... and I've no need for any more of that!

Well... they up and said such would BE covered! and lined up an adjuster to come take a look see... So... the knot is relaxing... yup... right until that moment when I got up and climbed back up to the roof, the morning of the day that insurance inspector guy was to come... to make sure those gol durn flea bitten varmint wasps were still gone...

Annnnnnnnd.... what do I find? .... .... .... Nada. Nothing. Zip. Zero... as in no wasps... and NO blisters!!! What in THE holy Hell is goin' on! I poked and prodded and pushed and jabbed at that roof where it'd been a stickin' up... trying to find a crack, a tear, a... Anything... nope... Nuthin'!

So... I called the guy and told him the story which he'd never heard of such a thing Either... Which leaves me wonderin' and back where I was before I set about wasp killin'... makin' preparations to coat the roof...

Now... "Me Too"... I think I caught that politician virus... didn't know it was airborne, since I won't even go anywhere near the suckers... You know the; "I was against it before I was for it" sort of flip floppin' that can't make a decision wobbly stuff? Yeah... It's embarrassing ;)

I was dead certain I wasn't goin' back to North Dakota in October to work the Beet Harvest... right up until I signed back up the other day :-/  I don't know... some people's kids... Produced about four months regular income for me in one month last year... they want us back so we're goin'. With a bit of luck the proceeds won't vanish into a mechanics pocket this time around.

Yup... the month of October will find me back in Sydney Montana.

Then comes the scooter. Pulled it apart, with small difficulty, to replace the fork seals. If I'd NOT been tryin' to cheap out it would already be back together. Funny how the price seems to go up the smaller a part gets. I failed to order a set of Fork Bushings when I got the new seals... trying to save. Dumb.

When I got the thing apart it was clear the bushings were heavily worn... so I wait one more time, for parts. ;) When they come the bike will go back together pretty quick.

So... the roof that was ruined isn't... some sort of rubberized miracle. Decisions that I thought were made are remade and the bike is close to being back on the road after all the unexpected gyrations.

Been a curious few weeks
Brian

I would re spray it just before the inspector came…and get paid for a new roof. And pocket the money as soon as the blisters disappeared :)

Well Brain, Collene has been asking me if you were returning to Sidney in Sept. Don't bring them bees with you, I don't like them. See you in Sidney.
