In Your RV Travels... Where Was Your Favorite Place?

We went to a gatherin' last night of the folks Heidi does agility with... and of course the conversation got 'round to our wandering...

Generally, there were three questions asked; Where ya been? Where ya goin' now, and Where was your Favorite place?

1. I been every where man!... sounds like a Johnny Cash song, don't it? :o)
2. Not really sure... where ever I end up I guess! hmmm... that remembers me of "Then Came Bronson...back in the sixties! ... anybody else remember him? :o)

and... the big one... Favorite Place... the tough one...

How can you name a favorite place on the RV Road... There's lots of good'uns... but Favorite?... How can you admit it? To me it's like havin' six kids and picking one out and namin' it as your best and Favorite... it just ain't gonna work for me.

Each place is different, carries its own personality, has the things that pulls you in... and the things that run you off... I'll admit there's places that have a stronger draw for me than others... and I'll likely return there more often... but I still can't name 'em as Favorite. It somehow, just don't seem right.

The Oregon Coast in the winter... so different than the summers when we've been there. The storms so much more powerful and intimidating... awesome in their rage.

Cumbres Pass in the fall... so beautiful it hurts your eyes and your mind has trouble wrapping around it all.

The mountains above Pagosa... that look more like a watercolor, than a photograph!

There were lil' camps where the scenery wasn't something you might remember long... but... still... the peace and serenity of it will stay with you long...

There have been so many memories filling the last four months it's not hard to pick out a favorite... it's impossible.

We've shared meals, on sunny slopes with good friends...

... and hiked the High Country...

OK... it was four wheeling... but the meaning is the same! ;o)

We've watched the sun slide into the ocean with glorious sunsets...

and followed down the Columbia River to find those Pacific Sunsets...

Even our Dogs seem to have enjoyed every place we find...

I feel like that guy in that commercial, for Lowes I think... who has so many choices... he can't pick one... it just can't be done!

If you really insist... If I HAVE to pick a place? ... hmmmm .... it can only be...

The seat of my Raider... rolling through all the PLACES! :o)

No... there just can't be a favorite place on my RV Road... except for the whole of the life... as one single, soul filling way of being...

... that I'll savor for each day that comes... We've got so much more to see, and know... and it's a shiny, brand new year!

Take That Leap of Faith... and... Follow Your Dreams...

"Take a leap of faith and follow your dreams". What a great plan. We are lying back and enjoying; planning on visiting some of the lower 48 that we haven't seen yet this year and Alaska in 2012. Maybe we'll see you on the road one of these days. Drive carefully everywhere!
