Last night... my laptop quit charging... that's after we got back from a lil' drive to take a look at the surrounding country... since Heidi couldn't walk much... after falling off the steps of the rig... minutes after we got the rig set...
I'm thinkin' that Ol' Beast is makin' one last run at crunchin' my cajones hard enough, that I quit... Likely... he don't like that I'm talkin' it up... and tryin' to get other folks to do the same sort of deal... at least as far as livin' for their ownselves... and lettin' that ugly sucker fend for himself! Instead of us all allowin' his ugly, useless mug to leach off us all!
Hmmm... imagine how we'd have to start some sort of welfare program... if we un-employed all the politicians in the world! ... I mean... what can they - actually do? ... I'm not sure the buggers could even figure out which end of a shovel you dig a ditch with! :o)
So... anyhoo... we're RV Boondocked for the night... with reeeeeaaaaallllly slow/intermittent verizon aircard signal... a lil' ways south of Gould, Colorado...
Now, this area ain't what I'd call spectacular... lots of Beetle Killed timber... but... when you factor in the SPACE... the air that AIN'T been sucked through 7 sets of lungs, 'fore it got to you... and ... no shortage of fire wood! :o) ... and the other lil' fact...
... that RV Boondocking like we are here... dont' cost us $20 a night... it don't cost us even $6 a night with my Disabled Vet discount... RV Boondocking, out on National Forest land costs you the Grand total of... NUTHIN'!
So! I won't complain. about a bit of standing firewood that I ain't made smores with yet!
Since Heidi was lame, we took a lil' drive up the mountain before dark...
Somebody named "anonymous" wanted to know; "how long it would take to really feel it?"... well, if I keep gettin' enough long views like this... from just above our camps... it shouldn't be long. :o)
... and if, when we're lame... we can find enough lil' backroad trails to idle down...
... lookin' for flowers, and Moose... and just pieces of the Mountains to fill a man's soul...
... and maybe even a lil' river to fish once in a while... or make whoopee beside...
... along with maintaining my conversation with you...
... this will be a sustainable deal... Hell, I don't need spectacular every day... just real... just full... just Freedom! :o)
So... Mr. Beast... if busted RV Wiring, Twisted ankles... fritzing computers, blown fuel pumps... and skeeters the size of small Eagles... is the best you can do to knock this Ol' Buster off his pins... and stop him from chasing the Dreams in his soul...
... I hope ya'll can deal with a lot of frustration... 'cause it's gonna take a lot more'n that to shut this Ol' Redneck down!
'cause what's gonna happen is... Our raggedy ass Ol' truck, with my raggedy kiester settin' on the seat... draggin' our raggedy ass Ol' fiver... into more RV Boondocking camps, some good... some not so shiny... all over the west, is what that pin eared, foul smellin', cow hocked, fuzzy tailed, two legged immitation buzzard is gonna see when he looks 'round for me!
So... I gotta go! I'm late... gotta hurry up, and do some... Slowin' Down! :o)

Well, this is more like it. Again, beautiful pictures showing me parts of this wonderful country I haven't seen. Love the pics from your and Heidi's drive. Maybe she should become "lame" more often. Really gets you to slow down and enjoy the beauty of this great land.

That's the attitude....can't wait till we can hook up on the road. Don't think it will be this year...your Alaska ride will interfere (yeah for you)!
