Even Along the Mogollon... I Can Find the Boot...

Knock Knock Knock! "Hello! Fish and Game!"

I look out the window and there stands a fella with one hand pounding on the wall of my rig... the other caressing a pistol butt...

Does a knock on the door from a man with a gun set your teeth on edge too? In a society ruled by the force of law... the law being whatever somebody else decides, in their infinite wisdom, is what you'll do... and having zero to do with what is right, wrong or reasonable... Freedom is a sad facade.

Camped a few hundred yards from a stock tank... the young guy with his bullet proof vest, big gun and an easy smile claimed we were "bothering" the wildlife and preventing them from getting to the water... and we'd have to move on...

I remember those delicate creatures, so fearful of people... bringing their twin fawns three hundred yards inside the ranch fence to chew the flowers out of the pots on our porch steps, while a 180 pound Great Pyranees barked at them from the end of his chain, six feet away.

But, me parked quietly in the trees the same distance from a stock tank... is the great tribulation that will end wildlife in Arizona as we know it.

I guess nobody told these neighbors they were supposed to be traumatized by my presence...

Or the Falcons living on the sky scrapers back east...

I wonder; Will the contamination of human thinking inculcated by Walt Disney and his ilk ever be overcome? or must man plummet into the abyss of his own stupidity first?

We live in a society and a world where Freedom is a curious, obsolete,  anachronism... and those promoting it are dangerous and must be marginalized... demonized even...

I expect I'll watch that conflagration from some high spot out on the desert... watching the smoke in the distance... and just shaking my head... history marches on, repeating itself for all those who refuse to learn from it...

So for now, I moved on to another week of work here in Avondale. The NASCAR partiers start moving into their PIR camps in a short while and starting Thursday we'll start hauling their butts on the trams. Till then I've got a few days to work some leather, and scribble some words.

Howdy Mr Gore, NDR;

Looks like you're back to your old ways of huntin' trouble; first, run out of town, and now run out of the forest. Not that it would change anything, but it would be interesting to read the "law" that the fish cop used to hurry you on your way. I haven't read a law that stated that camping was harassing wildlife. But then, many people's idea of "harassment" has morphed into whatever someone else is doing that they don't totally approve of.

Of course, the fish cop might have heard you snoring or the creaking of your old bones as you got out of bed. Either of those noises could certainly startle the "wildlife".

Have fun at PIR.
Adios!

"And the skies will not be cloudy all day" sang the coyotes to the cowboy, as he traveled down the highway with the Govt chasing his sorry butt off "the property "of yesteryear gone by. Didn't you say somewhere you whizzed past a sign? Oh well...good rant! Take heart! On to tramming around the dumbasses at Nascar next. :)

Mike... a 1/4 mile from water sources... the way its stated... 90% of Arizona could be deemed illegal to camp on at some time of the year.

Donna; the only time the gov't has ever helped anyone it was an unintended consequence of some activity to garner ever more power or control

rh47; The country of our father's youth is gone.

Ah Cindy; That was no rant... the real rant would blister the ears of those too timid to hear the truth.

The issue was not a sign that had not been there for the last 45 years I've been going to that country... a sign that I was not looking for and a sign that was placed 30 or 40 feet away from the main entry point... the issue is the bogus assertion of interference with wildlife, made by those with a wildlife degree issued by WDU...
(Walt Disney University)

The issue is about control of land and people. The issue is about the arbitrary demonstration of power, simply because they can.

The issue is about the Ninja attired fish counters pounding on my door with their hands on a pistol butt.

The issue is about the facade of freedom that truthfully, no longer exists. You are free to operate within very narrow and rapidly narrowing parameters.

Step outside those bounds and you will quickly be told to step back inside. The ONLY thing that determines whether you survive or not is how far you are willing to go in your resistance to what can only be described as encroaching tyranny. For the "System" is fully willing to attend your funeral... for the taxes on your home... or camping to close to a muddy stock tank... or failing to contract with some company the federal agents tell you that you MUST deal with... it all depends, and ONLY depends on how far and how hard you are willing to resist...

and THAT isn't even a real rant... just getting warmed up...

YOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO! NS AAAAAAAAAA... Did ya GET all that? Ya traitorous slime balls??? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
