That led me to The Best Beer 2012 where I found that there was not an IPA in the Top 20 for the USA. However, there were a lot of Stouts which I prefer if I'm going to buy a high $ beer. Don't care for IPA or wheat beers much.Edhttp://edwardfrey.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7205527982714514361.post-51278917463766799112012-05-14T13:30:08.068-06:002012-05-14T13:30:08.068-06:00Obsidian Stout and Flat Tire are my brews of choic...Obsidian Stout and Flat Tire are my brews of choice. I think IPA's appeal to those who like to refer to everything with initials....beyond that speculation on my part, I don't get it.Whatsnewellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18051814896720771000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7205527982714514361.post-62531258209744916242012-05-14T09:52:18.204-06:002012-05-14T09:52:18.204-06:00Hi Brian;

Couple of weeks ago I bought some "other" fancy wheat beer on a whim. Bad decision. It tasted like what you described. Gave to Cathy's son. He tried it and said he's never wanted a beer bad enough to drink one of those...

Adios!Mikenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7205527982714514361.post-23307966752182744522012-05-14T09:41:10.367-06:002012-05-14T09:41:10.367-06:00My husband describes some of those fancy beers as ...My husband describes some of those fancy beers as motor oil. Then, I end up using them for cooking.

Yup, we qualify for food stamps too, but we aren't going there either. And nobody is going hungry. In fact, all of us could do with fewer groceries! Then, we would have more money for gas, to sit on the creek bank and drown worms. Hum, there's a plan. If you hold your nose and have another... and another... by the 5th or 6th one, you might actually start liking it some. Who knows, if you work at it you might become a beer snob too.Thom Hochhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11368996158606255101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7205527982714514361.post-78791293927328106572012-05-14T08:56:12.799-06:002012-05-14T08:56:12.799-06:00Hey Brian,

Now they're telling me that the "better beers" don't have twist off caps. I guess you have to make life harder in order to be a beer snob, Jeff.Jeffhttp://cwoodcrafts.com/about_us.htmnoreply@blogger.com
